Get xavi

Xavi is the new health & wellbeing programme developed with onemedifund.

It’s pronounced {‘sa.vi} and sums up what we want health & wellbeing to be about:

  • Getting a knowledge and understanding of health & wellbeing.
  • Realising our health & wellbeing must improve and applying common sense methods to achieve this.
  • Accessing information and know-how to improve our health & wellbeing.
  • Gaining the personal physical skills to improve our health & wellbeing

Let ’s be honest, we’re not the healthiest community.

We work hard, often leaving little time for structured physical activity or exercise. Socialising tends to focus on eating and drinking, with sometimes a bit too much of both. However, attitudes are changing.

Many of us are now ready to get fitter and healthier but don’t know how or where to start! For instance, do you know your BMI from your BMR? Do you know the recommended daily calories for children, or what should be in a healthy pack lunch? Do you know which exercises are the best for burning fat, or what’s the best seating position to avoid a bad back at work?

If you don’t know then you need to get xavi.

From school meal planning to online exercise routines and office ergonomics; the Xavi goal is to deliver and support initiatives that help to improve the overall health & wellbeing of our community. Built around the three closely linked strands of home, school and work, the programme and its partners will offer guidance, education and resources, plus access to specialist skills and know-how.
